Prophetic Theory #3-The Term “Generation” Spoken Privately By Yahushua With Only His Disciples On The Mount Of Olives:

What is a “Generation,” spoken of by Yahushua (Jesus) in the Olivette Discourse?

“But immediately following the trouble of those times, the sun will grow dark, the moon will stop shining, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in heaven will be shaken.

“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, all the tribes of the Land will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with tremendous power and glory. He will send out his angels with a great shofar; and they will gather together his chosen people from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

“Now let the fig tree teach you its lesson: when its branches begin to sprout and leaves appear, you know that summer is approaching. In the same way, when you see all these things, you are to know that the time is near, right at the door. Yes! I tell you that this people [read: generation/dor] will certainly not pass away before all these things happen. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Matthew 24:29-35 (CJB)
Maybe the Psalms will illuminate this quandary:

All our days ebb away under your wrath; our years die away like a sigh. The span of our life is seventy years, or if we are strong, eighty; yet at best it is toil and sorrow, over in a moment, and then we are gone. Psalm 90:9-10 (CJB)
If you are a Jew living in Jerusalem in 2022, you will find that 74.5 years is your life expectancy. If you calculate from May 14, 1948 (the beginning of a generation with the birth of Israel) + 74 years and 5 months and 5 days, you will come to October 19, 2022.

During these 27,186 days of a generation, Yahushua is telling us to watch for signs. Are we in the final generation?  And are we watching for the signs? Somewhere between seventy or eighty years after Israel is birthed, expect His return.
Note* For those of you still clinging to the concept of a pre-tribulation Rapture, please notice the word "after" in verse 29. When you reply, "The Church is in heaven," citing verse 31. Why is your opinion wrong?

Yahushua always cited the Torah and the prophets, because it was the only scripture available. His Olivette Discourse obviously references that Moses is clearly citing Hebrew people and converts in Deuteronomy.
“When the time arrives that all these things have come upon you, both the blessing and the curse which I have presented to you; and you are there among the nations to which Adonai your God has driven you; then, at last, you will start thinking about what has happened to you; and you will return to Adonai your God and pay attention to what he has said, which will be exactly what I am ordering you to do today — you and your children, with all your heart and all your being. At that point, Adonai your God will reverse your exile and show you mercy; he will return and gather you from all the peoples to which Adonai your God scattered you. If one of yours was scattered to the far end of the sky [read: heavens/shamayim], Adonai your God will gather you even from there; he will go there and get you. Adonai your God will bring you back into the land your ancestors possessed, and you will possess it; he will make you prosper there, and you will become even more numerous than your ancestors. Deuteronomy 30:1-5 (CJB)

Other verses that prove the same Hebraic concept:
Up! Up! Flee from the land of the north, declares the Lord. For I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, declares the Lord. Zechariah 2:6 (ESV)

but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there I will gather them and bring them to the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there. Nehemiah 1:9 (ESV)
The only "Church" Yahushua is planning to someday regather like the Rapture, is a Jewish Church/Kehilat. Either determine to be grafted-into your Jewish Olive Tree [Yahushua], or face the alternative—a curse.

Shalom!
